Life on the Edge with Coach Diana

Welcome to the Fall 2017 skating season!!! Everyone is starting to get all settled into all our programs now that we are 3 weeks into our Regular Season. I am so pleased with the progress with all the skaters in such a short time, in every program. It has been a pleasure to Coach the skaters, at every level. Thought this would be a great time to talk about equipment care & fitting... Carry a small cloth or hand towel in your skating bag to wipe off the snow and wet from your blades to keep them from rusting. Make sure to Not store your guards on your skates it can cause them to rust. Think about purchasing skate soakers from Canadian tire, or from a Boutique Skating shop if you want something a little more fun. There are some really cute animals and other designs to choose from. Make sure your skates are properly sharpened. For our Jr. Academy, Jr. Star, & STARskaters please talk to me about a professional sharpener now that you are starting to wear more expensive...
